Terms & Conditions 



When you submit a booking via our online reservation system you will receive an automatically generated booking summary by email to the email address you provide in the booking form. This does not form a contract between us. A contract shall only arise when your booking is subsequently confirmed in writing via a letter of confirmation sent to you by post or email.

To protect yourselves against some of the most likely causes of holiday cancellation we highly recommend that you take out our optional booking refund protection option provided through "Booking Protect". This can be taken out at any time from the time of the original booking up until the date that the balance is due. These are the Terms and Conditions of making a booking with The Moat House Annan

A booking fee deposit of a minimum of 50% of the overall booking fee for the booking is due at the time of making the reservation. Your reservation will not be confirmed until payment has been received. Please call us on 0800 024 8641 if you are having problems making your payment.

If you decide to add any options to your booking after the initial deposit and before your balance is paid please contact us to make an amendment to your reservation which can be added/subtracted from the balance due. If you wish to make changes to your booking after the balance has been taken please contact us on 0800 024 8641.

We highly recommend that you take out a payment refund guarantee (Booking Protect) for your deposit and any subsequent payments to ensure that you are refunded in full if you are unable to take advantage of your booking for any of the covered reasons (see Booking Protect documentation when selecting this option)

Paying by Direct Debit - We also accept payment by Direct Debit (DD) over a number of months to help you budget for your stay. If you wish to take advantage of this facility please get in touch and we will set up an individual payment plan for you. The terms of this option are that a deposit of 25% of the overall booking fee for the booking is paid at the time of making the reservation online followed by a number of further DD payments (covering the balance due) taken on the anniversary of the initial payment over a number of subsequent months with the final balance payment being taken at least 30 days prior to the commencement of the booking. Payments under this option are NON-REFUNDABLE and it is a MANDATORY requirement that a "Booking Protect" refund guarantee is taken out to provide you with guaranteed refund of all payments made if you are unable to take advantage of your booking for any of the reasons stipulated in the Booking Protect guarantee (see Booking Protect documentation for details).

For organisations that organise holidays for their clients where those clients have their own independent budgets managed by a "Responsible Person/Advocate" which sometimes can make organising payment for accommodation more difficult. Using our Direct Debit Payment Plan option those responsible for these individual budgets may pay independently for their client as long as it is understood by all parties that the “Booking” is dependent on all parties (clients) paying their contribution to the “Total Booking Cost”. Any shortfall in the “Total Booking Cost” will need to be paid in full 30 days prior to the booking commencement date for the booking to go ahead. PLEASE CONTACT US TO DISCUSS OPTIONS.
